Description
An exhibition showcasing the talents of three local autistic artists
Through My Eyes showcases the artwork, sculpture, photography, and music of 3 different artists, all of which are autistic and one of which also has a learning disability. The exhibition aims to challenge the stigma surrounding people with additional needs and to show what can be achieved.
Those featured in the exhibition include gifted photographer David Brown, artist Clare Pipes who specialises in glasswork and weaving, and musician Thomas Corden, better known on social media as ItsTCThePianoman.
'Through My Eyes' is a collaboration between Leicester City Council and Soft Touch Arts, a local charity providing creative opportunities for young people in Leicester with extra support needs.
The exhibition is located in the People’s Space within the permanent Leicester Stories Gallery. It provides a space for contemporary communities to share their experiences of life in the city, their heritage, and their stories.
