Established as a Cultural Quarter in 1989, St George's transformed Leicester’s former textile and shoe manufacturing hub into a thriving area for artists, designers, and craftspeople. Experience world class theatre at Curve, independent cinema and digital art at Phoenix and view contemporary art and print across several artist studios and galleries. As host to Bring The Paint International Street-Art Festival 2017, many of the walls and buildings of St George’s were transformed into canvases for world class murals and street art.
LCB Depot offers support, advice, and office space for creatives, and studios for artists and designer-makers at nearby Makers Yard. LCB Depot also hosts regular exhibitions, networking events, workshops, and interactive arts activities with pop-up street food and live music.
