Leicester Museums & Galleries work to involve local residents and visitors by sharing the City’s history and culture. These are your museums and we want to make sure they are fun, relevant and accessible to everyone.

Museum of Sanctuary

Leicester Museum & Art Gallery is proud to announce that we have attained the prestigious Museum of Sanctuary Award. We join only four other museums across the entire United Kingdom who have achieved this important award which shows that the Museum welcomes all people who are seeking refuge, regardless of background or circumstances.

Community Led Exhibitions

Leicester Museums & Galleries have museum exhibition cases in three local libraries; Highfields, New Parks and St. Barnabas. The Team work with different groups in each area to plan and create community exhibitions.
