Join a free tour of the museum's collection of vintage vehicles for Heritage Open Days.
Tour Dates:
- Monday 12th September: 11am, 12pm, 2pm & 3pm
- Tuesday 13th September: 11am, 12pm, 2pm & 3pm
- Thursday 15th September: 11am, 12pm, 2pm & 3pm
Part of Heritage Open Days, we invite you to join a free 1 hour tour to see many unique vintage Vehicles at Abbey Pumping Station. They are housed inside our Transport Shed which is normally inaccessible to museum visitors…
Step back in time with ‘awe’ and ‘wander’, as the talented team of Volunteer Tour Guides, LMTA (Leicester Museums Technology Association) share their knowledge and passion with you about our glorious array of classical vehicles.
From, Dennis the Fire Engine, to Leonard the Steam Locomotive, to Leicester Corporation buses and a Steam roller or two! Come along to enjoy many more treasures, here at Abbey Pumping Station Museum of Technology.
Please note:
- there is no parking on site. Closest parking is in the adjacent Space Centre pay and display car park
- no café at this event
- advance booking required
