Join a free Majestic Beam Engines Tour, part of Heritage Open Days.
Tour Dates:
- Monday 12th September: 11am, 12pm, 2pm & 3pm
- Tuesday 13th September: 11am, 12pm, 2pm & 3pm
- Thursday 15th September: 11am, 12pm, 2pm & 3pm
Join our talented team of Volunteer Tour Guides, LMTA (Leicester Museums Technology Association), to explore all the different levels of the Beam Engine Rooms whilst the engines are still. A unique opportunity to engage with the history, construction and technical details about the functioning of our majestic Victorian engineering!
Please note:
- the Beam Engines will not be running during the tour
- this tour includes the traverse of spiral stairways down into the basement levels
- there is no parking on site. Closest parking is in the adjacent Space Centre pay and display car park
- No café at this event
- Advance booking required
