Event Description
Bring your archaeological finds for recording with the Portable Antiquities Scheme
Have you found any small archaeological objects?
Whether you are a seasoned metal detectorist, or you have made a chance find in your garden, you are invited to bring your archaeological finds to Newarke Houses for identification and recording with the Portable Antiquities Scheme.
Our local Finds Liaison Officer will be more than happy to take a look and give you more information, as well as explain how finds are recorded with the Scheme to help advance knowledge of the history and archaeology of England and Wales.
You can find out more about the Portable Antiquities Scheme at finds.org.uk. You can contact Victoria, your Finds Liaison Officer for Leicestershire and Rutland, at vszafara@rutland.gov.uk.
Free, drop-in event. No booking required.
