Artist Talk: The Knight, Death and the Devil

A special event to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day 2025

This talk is being held on the following two dates:
- Saturday 25th January 10am -11am
- Thursday 30th January 5.15pm - 6.15pm

Artist George Sfougaras will talk about the inspiration and creative process for his work ‘The Knight, Death and the Devil’, his reinterpretation of an Albrecht Dürer engraving from the 16th Century, and its ongoing relevance in the context of Holocaust memorial.

"I make work that exists at the intersection of art, history, politics and culture. My topics are drawn from personal experiences, family histories and contemporary events….I create work which I hope engages others at an emotional level, which encourages dialogue, healing and reconciliation, within the self and the world beyond."
