RAF Museum Midlands goes out and about!
Come along and speak to staff from RAF Museum Midlands and get close to some of our handling collection and hear about some of the incredible people that have been part of the RAF.
There will also be some fun family activities to take part in.
Free, drop in activities:
11am to 2pm: Object Handling & Craft Activities
Come along and handle objects from the collections of Royal Air Force Museum Cosford and hear about the stories connected with these.
Get creative and make your own badge with our badge maker or enjoy some colouring in! All activities will be relatively clean and easy to set up and tidy away. Drop in activities perfect for families and children!
2pm - 3pm: Talk - Pilots of the Caribbean
Take a trip through time and look back at some amazing Black people that joined the Royal Air Force and hear their stories, from Robbie Clarke who was Britain’s first Black pilot in the First World War, to Lilian Bader a British born mixed race woman who broke barriers right up to Corporal Sonia Campbell who serves today in the RAF.
