Leicester Creative Business Depot (LCB Depot) and Makers Yard
LCB Depot is in the heart of the Cultural Quarter and is a bustling hub for creative businesses. It is home to workspaces, meeting rooms, flexible exhibition space, and hosts Gray’s Coffee Shop & Kitchen.
With regular exhibitions, digital installations and showcasing facilities, LCB Depot is a great place to see and show art. For more information on studio space at LCB Depot’s dedicated artists’ space at Makers Yard and other studios in the city, see our Arts Workspaces page.
Open: The People’s Exhibition
An art show unique to Leicester, Open: The People's Exhibition, celebrates the talent of artists and residents from the East Midlands. The ever-popular exhibition has been running for over 30 years and accepts artwork from people of any background and experience.

Leicester’s National Portfolio Organisations
Leicester has a variety of National Portfolio Organisations (NPOs) supported by the Arts Council England. We are proud of the fantastic work they do to create nationally and internationally celebrated projects. Leicester City Council also work in partnership with several organisations in the city including, Leicester Gallery at De Montfort University and Attenborough Arts Centre at the University of Leicester. This broadens our reach to artists, crafters and emerging talent, ensuring that we support all aspects of the creative community.
