Experience Leicester Museum & Art Gallery through the imagination of local children as they take over the museum building.

Leicester children are taking over Leicester Museum & Art Gallery - as well as Curve and Phoenix as part of the 20th Spark Festival!

Working with inspiring artists Sian Watson Taylor and Rachel Scanlon, children from 4 Leicester schools - Ash Field Academy, Falcons Primary School, Mayflower Primary School and Mellor Community Primary School - have let their imaginations run riot and are planning a day jam packed with free activities, games and performances for the whole family to enjoy together.

Children and artists will be side by side, making their voices heard as a positive force for good. Arts and creativity will be a tool for activism and discussion. They hold the budget, they create the brief, so the results are in their hands - we don’t know what they are planning, but we do know it will be amazing and fun and FREE to attend!
