The work of the Friends of Leicester and Leicestershire Museums (FLLM) includes a range of support to Leicester Museums & Galleries and their staff. Previous and ongoing support includes assisting at events and exhibitions, and opportunities to work with collections.
Through fundraising activities, FLLM also contribute towards the purchase of various items to develop the museums' collections.
Recent support at Leicester Museum & Art Gallery includes major contributions towards the purchase of a Hogarth painting and new audio-visual equipment in the Victorian Gallery, as well as supporting the Ernest Gimson exhibition and website, some newly-commissioned pieces in the Arts and Crafts Gallery and Gerhard Richter (Young People's Digital Interpretation Resource).
Leicester Guildhall has also benefited from new courtyard planters, and FLLM helped with the purchase of a Clyde Car for Abbey Pumping Station.
