The Friends of Jewry Wall Museum first met in 2004 and now have over 150 members.
In 2012, The Friends of Jewry Wall Museum were the regional winners of the Marsh Trust Award which is given for volunteer contributions to new museum learning. In 2017, alongside the city council, the Friends successfully submitted a bid for Heritage Lottery Funding with the Friends contributing £4000. We were awarded £54,500 for a project called Telling the Jewry Wall Story.
