Victory Japan Exhibition Photo Shoot

Published: 6 March 2020

Our photographer has been out at Newarke Houses today doing a photo shoot with some potential exhibition objects.

The (as yet untitled) Victory Japan Day exhibition will be taking place later in 2020 at Newarke Houses. 2020 marks 75 years since the end of WWII across Europe (VE Day) and East Asia (VJ Day) and Leicester Museums & Galleries will be commemorating this occasion with an exhibition based around stories and memories of VJ Day.

It will include objects and stories taken from Leicester Museums & Galleries' extensive regimental collections. The objects here may be part of the exhibition - the contents are yet to be finalised.
