Leicester school children’s goody bag prize draw

Look out for these postcards from Leicester Museums & Galleries which we’ve sent to children at every Leicester city primary school to encourage local families to come and explore Leicester Museums & Galleries and enjoy all we have to offer, mostly for free.

We had a prize draw for children to win a goody bag packed with lovely things from the museum shop when they brought back their completed postcard. The lucky winner of the prize draw was Callum aged 7.

If you want to know the answer to the mystery object on the postcard – it’s not a biscuit or a caterpillar – it’s a fossil called an ammonite, and the real one can be seen on display in the Dinosaur Gallery at Leicester Museum & Art Gallery.
