Picasso Ceramics: The Attenborough Collection is on permanent display at Leicester Museum & Art Gallery.
The gallery has contains selected key works from the collection of Lord and Lady Attenborough which was entrusted to Leicester Museums & Galleries after a temporary exhibition in 2007. These important pieces were collected by the Attenborough's during the 1950s and 60s during visits to the Madoura pottery in Vallauris, France.
Lord Richard Attenborough spent his early childhood in Leicester, attending Wyggeston Grammar School for Boys, now the Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth I College. Lord Attenborough had an affinity for Leicester throughout his life which led to him donating this wonderful and important collection to the City.
