Hundreds Enjoy Diwali Delights

Thank-you to the hundreds of families that joined us at Leicester Museum & Gallery on Sunday 5th November to celebrate our Diwali Delights event.

Our friends at Nupur Arts put on a fantastic programme of events that included traditional and modern dance, music and vocal performances, workshops, Rangoli and not least the Diwali Dino Disco in our Dinosaur Gallery. It was great to see so many visitors enjoying themselves and bringing the galleries to life.

As part of our ongoing Diwali events, the Community Creates team will be exhibiting a Diwali display in the Victorian Gallery on Saturday, 11th November, 11am-4pm. Also on show will be a special ‘Kathak’ dance costume from our collection; this is a free ‘drop-in’ event – we hope to see you there.
