Diwali 2020 Activities

Leicester is famous for our incredible Diwali celebrations, but this year we have had to be creative in finding ways to celebrate despite the lockdown. Here is a great Diwali activity pack with things to do to help your children find out about Diwali, designed by local graphic artist Rosie and Ramona. The activity pack is for downloading and printing at home.

Make sure to tune in to the live Diwali Online Event where they can listen to the story of Rama and Sita’s escape from the demon Ravan with the help of Hanuman the Monkey King, told by Leicester City Libraries and illustrated by young people from Focus Charity using Indian shadow puppets.

Leicester's Diwali Online Event will include fantastic conent including; how to make Indian sweets, the history of Diwali in Leicester, dance performances and more.
