December 2022 - updates on the Jewry Wall Project

All exhibition contractors have now been appointed for the major refurbishment of the Jewry Wall Museum which will transform this Leicester landmark, opening in summer 2024. Leicestershire-based Haley Sharpe Design (hsd) continue to build on their project vision, together with Elmwood Projects who are constructing the exhibition. With over 40 years’ experience, hsd have an extensive portfolio of flagship projects both locally and globally. From Leicester’s very own National Space Centre to the Smithsonian Institution’s National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC, to Stonehenge Visitor Centre, Niagara Falls Visitor Centre, Oman Botanic Gardens and The Grand Egyptian Museum.
Heritage Interactive, also based in Leicestershire, will be creating the audio-visual content for the exhibition alongside new displays of original Roman objects found in the city. They will be developing an immersive panoramic projection and soundscape to introduce the whole exhibition. In addition, fourteen other audio-visual exhibits will bring to life the stories of the diverse citizens of Roman Leicester. Heritage Interactive were set up in 2010 and have worked on digital storytelling and interactive projects nationally including for Ironbridge Museums, Northampton Museum & Art Gallery and International Bomber Command Centre.
Pulse Consult are providing project management and cost consultancy services on the project. Based in Leicester’s Silver Arcade, Pulse were also involved in the award-winning Space Park Leicester, and their team have vast experience in the arts and culture sector, with projects for clients such as English National Ballet, Nottingham Castle, Royal Shakespeare Company and the Ragged School Museum.
