City waterways provide a canvas for large scale artworks

The city waterways are set for a transformation thanks to a major community arts project developed in partnership between Leicester City Council, the Canal & River Trust and local arts company Graffwerk. Artists will produce a series of colourful artworks at five locations along the River Soar and connected canal routes to the north of the city.

Completed pieces include Morningside Arena and Loughborough Road Culvert, with additional murals to decorate Soar Island Wall, Lime Kiln Lock and Abbey Park Road Underpass.
