Become a trustee to support Leicester’s museums
Published: 14 June 2022
Would you like to be involved in supporting the events, exhibits, educational programmes and collections of the Leicester Museums and Galleries?
The City of Leicester Museums Trust is evolving to become the Leicester Museums & Galleries Development Trust. As a registered charity, our purpose is to promote the work and collections of the Leicester Museums. We support the full-time members of Leicester’s Museums & Galleries with their education, events and exhibition programmes as well as building the city’s public collections. Funds raised are boosted with support from organisations such as the Arts Council, the V&A, Art Fund, and other public granting bodies.
We are looking for three individuals to join the board of Trustees due to retirement of existing Trustees.
We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds to contribute their skills and experience to the Trust. If you have an interest in museums and galleries and a passion for the city of Leicester’s vibrant and rich multicultural heritage, we encourage you to consider this unique opportunity.
The role is voluntary; Trustees receive no remuneration or expenses. Four meetings are held per year, normally at Leicester Museum and Art Gallery or online. Additional demands and duties may be required throughout the year.
