Kids Activity: Discover Arts Award Summer 2022

FREE Discover Arts Award at Newarke Houses

Would your child like to engage in an exciting, magical art activity over the summer?

This is an amazing opportunity to gain an introductory award whilst having lots of fun inside the museum and in the gardens.

The Discover Arts Award is suitable for ages 7 to 11

To achieve the Arts Award Discover, your child will collect evidence in an individual arts log of their experiences of:

• Taking part in arts activities
• Researching artists and their work
• Sharing their arts discoveries with family, carers, and friends

These activities are inspired by the exhibition Nature’s Art: Gardens in Leicester and Beyond at Newarke Houses.

How to take part

Arts Award Activities are taking place on Monday 15th August, from 10am to 3.30pm at Newarke Houses.

Participants will need to participate for the whole day. All materials and equipment will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch.

Please note

• Places are limited to 20 children on a first come first served basis
• All participating children must be accompanied by an adult
• All parents or carers are required to stay in the grounds of Newarke Houses for the duration of the event
