Overview

If you are interested in the work of our customer service team and the great range of events they put on across our museums and heritage sites, this would be a great volunteering opportunity for you.

We currently have five sites where volunteers can assist with putting on events.  The sites are Leicester Museum & Art Gallery, Newarke Houses, Leicester Guildhall, Abbey Pumping Station, Belgrave Hall and other Heritage Venues in the City.

Museum events include history talks, concerts, shows, theatre, craft fairs, food fairs as well as family and children friendly activities. Our events often link in with our museum collections and exhibitions and the wide range of seasonal programming we undertake.

Volunteers support the customer service team and are led in their activities by a volunteer supervisor. Volunteering takes place throughout the week, both during the daytime and in the evening, and volunteers are able to select the events that interest and suit them best.
