Belgrave Hall is a historic house, providing an oasis of peace and quiet in a hectic city.
The hall was built in the early 18th century in what was then a small village, three miles from the town of Leicester. The hall has had several owners over the years, and three specific families have played a major role in Leicester's history as well as the history of the hall and gardens.
Edmund Cradock, a hosiery merchant, built Belgrave Hall but died soon after its completion, and, John Ellis – a wealthy businessman was responsible for bringing the railways to Leicester. The Ellis Sisters were the last family to live in the Hall.
