October Half Term Railway Day

Event Description

It's Autumn and time for the last Railway ride at Abbey Pumping Station of 2022!

Come along and enjoy the last diesel hauled rides of 2022, on Abbey Pumping Stations Narrow Gauge Railway. Peter the Loco will be your host on this half term Tuesday! Just 50p a ride, cash only, no advance booking needed.

Take in the Autumn feel whilst on our grounds with ingenious technology to explore outside and within the delights of the Museum. Treat yourself to a cuppa and cake at our Pop-Up Cafe, (cash only) whilst sitting all comfy inside or wrap up and enjoy an Autumnal picnic on the grounds.

Enjoy the playground we have; with a slide, swings, see-saw and a Digger in a Sandpit! Why not have a sand castle making time as well.

Grounds and Museum open 11am to 4.30pm.

Free event, 50p per person per train ride.

Parking is road side or pay and display at the adjacent Space Centre Car park.

Or, take a glorious bike ride along the canal straight to Abbey Pumping Station. Bike racks available, but bring your own bike lock. No Bike? not a problem, hire an electric Santander bike from one of the many points around the city and dock up right at our site.
