A series of 6 lectures on the archaeology of Leicestershire and Rutland from prehistory to the 17th century by Peter Liddle, former County Archaeologist for Leicestershire.
Lectures on Thursdays from 2 – 4pm
at Leicester’s medieval Guildhall.
- September 12th: Early Prehistory (Hunter Gatherers, First Farmers and Early & Middle Bronze Age)
- September 19th: The First Millennium BC (Late Bronze Age & Iron Age)
- September 26th: The Roman period
- October 3rd: The Early Anglo-Saxons and Mercians
- October 10th: Vikings, Normans and the Early Medieval period
- October 17th: The Late Medieval period, Tudors and Stuarts
Price: £30 for the series or £6 per lecture.
Prior booking is useful but not essential. Attend the whole course or come to individual lectures. Refreshments available.
