Wish You Were Here, is a jubilant exploration of holidays and day trips over the last 100 years.
Find out why the people of Leicester are just as partial to a day trip to Skegness, as to jetting off for a holiday in the sun.
The exhibition displays objects from the expansive social history collections at Newarke Houses Museum. These explore themes including travel, day trips, the essentials of packing for a holiday, going to the beach, and the souvenirs we bring home to prolong the memory of our fun in the sun.
