View the exhibition India to Leicester: An Artist’s Journey without the crowds with a weekend pre-opening tour.
Daughter of the artist, Kranti Parekh will explore the story of local artist K. Koria and his drive to pursue a career in the arts. It explores his life from his early beginnings in India, to how he came to establish himself as the UK's first Asian Graphic Artist.
K. Koria’s contemporary paintings and commercial works are inspired by the rich culture of colourful India, these poetically capture moments in everyday village life from a time gone by. Through the expert use of colour, and with bold composition, his works preserve and celebrate the essence of India as he remembers it.
£15 per person
Tour duration is one hour.
