Overview
Abbey Pumping Station and Belgrave Hall are looking for volunteers to join their flourishing gardening groups on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Due to the popularity of this group, volunteer opportunities also sometimes take place on other days in the week.
Volunteers support our gardens team in looking after the beautiful historic gardens of Belgrave Hall and exciting green spaces at Abbey Pumping Station. A willingness to get involved and learn is more important than gardening experience, although there are opportunities for volunteers with an interest in particular aspects of heritage gardens. Tasks include all aspects of garden maintenance.
Main duties
Tasks include all aspects of garden maintenance. The activities take place outside and change according to the seasons and the weather.
Skills needed
Volunteers need to be interested in plants and gardens and be willing to do outside gardening work. Volunteers must be willing to learn new skills and techniques and have an interest in gardening in a heritage site used by the public.

You need to be 16 or over to volunteer in this role.
