Join us for a fun, action packed day out for all the family at the Emergency Services Day at Abbey Pumping station!

With fire engines, flashing lights, police cars, ambulances, face painting and so much more!

You’ll have the chance to see the majestic steam powered Beam Engine in action and take a ride on the Steam Locomotive.

An array of vehicles will be on display in the grounds including Leicester Museum’s collection of historic Fire Engines.

Here’s just some of the exciting activities to enjoy:

  • Meet the crews and learn more about their life saving work.

  • Demonstrations of working emergency vehicles!

  • Kids dress up zone – kids can dress up and have their photo taken in front of Leicester Museum’s historic Fire Engines!

  • Steam Locomotive

  • Childrens veg planting with the gardening team; plant a seed to grow and learn about how the Victorians at Pumping Station grew steam powered tomatoes!
